To become a member of the Citadelle Maple Syrup Producer’s Cooperative, an individual or company must:
Be an agricultural producer;
Submit a membership request;
Follow a Citadelle mandatory cooperative training course;
Agree to a visit to ascertain if all of the Cooperative’s market quality criteria are being met;
Be accepted by the board of directors;
Enter into a contractual agreement whereby the member commits to selling all of his or her maple syrup, honey or cranberry production to the Cooperative for a period of five years, except for an amount used for personal consumption or for sale on the local market, all of which activities are bound by a contract whose terms, conditions and considerations are determined by the board;
Subscribe to the number of qualifying shares required ($1000 + $4000) and pay for them as per regulations;
Commit to respecting all Citadelle regulations as well as the Law on Cooperatives.
