Goat Cheese Crostini with Honey
Ingredients
- 12 slices of baguette, 1 cm (1/2 in) thick (or 12 croutons)
- 22 mL (1 ½ tbsp) olive oil
- 125 mL (1/2 cup) fresh goat cheese, unripened, or cream cheese
- 30 mL (2 tbsp) liquid honey
- 60 mL (1/4 cup) of whole pine nuts, grilled, or chopped, grilled pecans or pistachios
- Freshly ground pepper (optional)
Directions
- Lightly brush both sides of bread with oil and place them under the grill a few minutes, turning them over a few times until lightly brown
- On each slice, spread 10 mL (2 tsp) of goat cheese. Top with grilled pine nuts and drizzle with honey. Add pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
